1. 1974 RG500
The basic configuration-water cooled, 2-cycle, square four rotary disk valve-
remains the same today. The auspicious start of the machine made to be
remembered.
2. 1976 RG500
Suzuki’s first world champion in 500cc Grand prix competition, only three years
after it’s debut. The thoroughness of the RG500 design overwhelmed its
competitors.
3. 1978-RGA500
Even with the basic layout unchanged, the RGA500 was completely rebuilt. The
rear two cylinders of the engine were elevated over its predecessor model,
making the engine size even more compact.
4. 1980-RGB500
Equipped with the Hydraulic Anti-dive fork and full floating suspension system,
the functional operation of the RGB500 was further enhanced, greatly increasing
rider comfort and control over the machine.
5. 1981-RG Gamma
Representing a second reconstruction of the original model, the RG Gamma is
considerably more compact than its predecessor. Revolutionary 16-inch front
wheel disproved the critics and amazed the industry.
6. 1982-RG Gamma
New framework of square aluminium tubing reduces weight, improves riding
stability; thus this years model is even more refined, and ranks as the favourite
to capture Suzuki’s 7th consecutive world championship.

I am the proud owner of a ’84 250 gamma, and came across this site in my travels. I keep seeing the same picture of the first gen. 500 and I absolutly love it. I’ve always wanted to own a 500 but with too many toys and not enough time I am actually thinking about selling the 250 gamma. I might be out of line leaving this here but if anyone out there that really loves the rg’s is looking for one I can be contacted at joelwoodard@yahoo.com or 801-427-8983. that an american #. I just wanted to say thanks for the website and cheers to all of you 2-smoke lovers.
